Hooray! Let’s go to Kindergarten! The Mooresville Graded School District is thrilled to welcome your learner to our school community, and we can't wait to embark on this incredible journey of discovery with you and your child.  Online Kindergarten registration will officially open on February 3, 2025.  Please visit our Kindergarten Registration webpage for the details!  

In addition, we are holding an in-person Kindergarten registration event on February 4, 2024. Check out the details below! 

What:  Kindergarten Registration (In-Person)
Who:  Rising Kindergarten Families at PVES, SES, and RRES
When:  February 4th from 5:00 - 7:00pm
Where:  Rocky River Elementary School Cafeteria - 483 Rocky River Rd, Mooresville, NC 28115

  • Ways to prepare your child for Kindergarten!
If possible, bring the following documents that are needed for enrollment. By bringing them to the event, you will not have to worry about uploading them or dropping them off later!
  • Certified Birth Certificate (the person's name enrolling the child must be on the birth certificate, or official documents showing legal custody must accompany the birth certificate)
  • Two proofs of residency:
    • Mandatory – Current lease agreement or utility bill (no cell phone bills) dated within the last 60 days.
    • Secondary – Driver's license, bank or credit card statement, W2 or payroll stub, or mortgage payment, dated within the past 60 days.
In addition, we will have fun activities for our future MGSD students, as well as staff available to assist with the enrollment process.  Also, you will receive a yard sign (see below) to proudly display in your yard!
